How do jaret reddick or martin johnson do their hair? an emo/punk look?

i want emo/punk type of hair, so do i have to straighten it, use a blow dryer or what? and how do they make it stick up in the back?

well im assuming u want the long front bangs and the back sticking up....so depending on if ur hair is curly or not...yes u will have to striaghten (the bangs) only if ur hair is curly...if it is straight then let it air dry down.... for the back get it cut short for the back (just bring the pictures to show ur hair dresser) and use surf gel to work the back of it....my friend who does the surf look loves using the one by garnier or fruictis or w.e just find the one that works for you the best...that might mean going through like 5 different kinds but it depends on how badly u want it to work!

They would have their hair blow dryed messy and then use hairspray and keep messing their hair up while spraying.
