If it's dirty blonde, you can try bleaching it and cutting it short (the emo way, you know). But only a few people can pull this off.

Try highlights, do something soft at first and work your way to the punk look. You don't want to do something so drastic it might mess up your hair or even scare people.

2)It'll look like your trying too hard to be punk/emo.
You should dye your bangs(assuming you have bangs XP).
Punks usually have wacky colors. Sense your blond you should do blue or green. Whatever matches your eyes, favorite color, or often clothing.

I wanted to get my hair dyed I was thinking streaks, what do you think? That sounds like fun. There is nothing wrong with having fun. If you'd like to try some colors in your hair without permanence, try using koolaide. This is what we did when I was younger, back in the Nirvana/flannel shirt days.
Pick a koolaide in the color you'd like to add to your hair, mix it with a little bit of hair conditioner, and add it as thick or thin as you like, to streak. If you don't like it, you can use white toothpaste to wash it out, and follow up with shampoo. If you do like it then you'll know what you want to do on a more permanent basis. Try it on a weekend, and see what you think.
Blonde looks great with pink, orange, lime green, and black. It doesn't look as nice with blue. I think blue looks better on darker hair.
