Do you like spikey hair on a woman?

My better half cut her hair pretty short. A few months ago she had it cut again and had it spiked up. It's not punk rockish just short and spikey. Short hair was bad enough. The criticism started right away. Her co-wprkers and friends said it was radical, making a statement etc. She eventually just kept it plain short. I loved it spikey and so did she but the pressure got to her. What do you think of spikey hair.

Wait, so what's wrong with people saying that her hair is "radical, making a statement"? I see that more as a compliment.

I've had some pretty weird hairstyles, including a very colorful trihawk, so I know what it's like being judged because of your hair. I actually liked the attention. When people stared at me funny/angry-like, it gave me the opportunity to rudely ask them if they wanted to take a picture.

But anyway, I don't see anything wrong about a female having short hair. I have long hair now, but I've had really short hair and loved it. Not much maintenance goes into short hair (which is great).

I agree with the person who said she should think about how she's making the place she works at come off to people. But I also disagree with her, and think that your 'better half' should stop worrying about what people think. It's a tough call.

Why doesn't she wear her hair normal, no spikes, to work, and spike it up when not working?

If her coworkers still have an issue with her hair being short, they'll get used to it after a while.

If that is what she likes she should wear it that way. Peer pressure should have no bearing on what she likes and what you like. I guess my best answer in this is, if they don't like it, don't look at her.

I personally like the shorter hair and spikey look.

Each to their won and different hair suits different women really so i can't really state though i will say that, given the choice, i prefer long haired womean any day, it makes them look so feminine.

It's really cute on some women. My daughter is a hairdresser and she does a lot of the short spikey type cuts. I wouldn't worry about what others think. If you both liked it, she should wear it that way until SHE decides to try another new do!

On a woman it seems childish and immature.

A teen I just see it as a way to set themselves apart %26amp; maybe rebel.

So if "your better half" is over 18 %26amp; has a job I think it's pretty weird that she'd do this. But then again she is an adult. She does need to remember though that in the work place people tend to judge others by how they look. Esp. if she out in the public view it may make the buisness look bad. So she needs to think about that.

Also she needs to think about how it affects you. People see you two together and again this world judges people by their outside and not their inside. So if she shows up at your work place sadly people may judge you because of her.

This isn't my point of view just the world.

I do hate how the world judges people by their looks and I try my best not to do that. Plus try my best to teach my children the same things. Maybe if other parents would do that the world accept people the way they are. ; )
