Punk-ish hair pictures?

I want my hair to be kind of punk-ish, with lots of "visible" layers, and I want it to be straight. I have very thick, kind of curly hair. Every time I explain that to the hair stylist, she always get's it wrong! I don't know how to explain it, and I can't find a picture of it on the net. If someone could help me find a pic, I'd be very thankful! But, remember, I'm only 16, so I don't want something that'll make me look too adult.
