ok well first i guess i should tell about myself. im 15 i have blondish brown hair and im confused if im emo or punk or gothic. i like skinny jeans and black tees. black hoodies. bands such as the red jumpsuit apparatus, papa roach, good charlotte, pink floyd, acdc, puddle of mudd. i do wear eyeliner. i am quiet but around my friends i can be loud. i have black chucks. i dont cut myself but have thought about suicide. on a average day i wear blue skinny jeans, black hoodie over random shirt, black gloves without fingers, chucks and yah. my hair is sometimes in my face (well actually alot) so if you can help plz tell me what you whould consider me to be.

you're only 15, you're going to change your mind probably 100 times by the time you hit 18. screw labeling yourself now. experience everything (except being a slut) and make your decision. being yourself is the best way to go... but if you were to choose out of those three i'd go with punk. emos are pathetic and make up problems when there are none and gothics are scary. i'm not a small guy either, but they scare me! hahaha

You sound like a pretty normal, if somewhat creative, 15 year old girl. The labels are meaningless. Be who you are, and try to make that "who you are" a person who strives to be better all the time. Be yourself, be happy, and surround yourself with people who love you, support you and are with you because you're you, not a label.

It can be tough. It can be confusing. In the long run, you'll be a more interesting, worthwhile person than the losers who have to fit the latest trend in terms of labels.

And, get creative! Write, photograph, draw, sing... anything that uses your imagination and skills to externalise your tensions. You may not become a professional at it, but it will be a source of comfort to you all your life.

Just go to a salon and they'll give you the exact color you want. It's like 25$, not expensive and you'll know you're getting exactly what you want. Or also you can try a beauty school that does this at a cheaper rate. Check your phone book.

Okay...so here is my issue. I have thick, curly hair. I have been straightening it to acheive an 'emo punk' fringe on one side of my head. BUT I have started taking Mauy Thai, and I cant have hair that keeps falling in my face when i am trying to fight. the two dont mix :-p. i still want a punk/emo/hardcore hairstyle, but it either has to be super short, some curly type, or a type that is easy to straighten. another issue is that it takes forever to straighten in the morning cause its so thick...and i need someting thats easy and quick to mannage. any suggestions?

Trying to conform to a stereotype is boring and people like that tend to look like every advertisement promoting that particular clothing brand.I'd rather not be a walking ad for a brand of clothing.

I'd have to say that the look I would prefer would be the conservative look. This look makes you look intelligent and shows alot of class. You can even look sexy dressed conservative. You are more likely to be treated with respect and be listened to and nobody could judge without getting to know you because they wouldn't be able to tell what kind of person you are.
