Hey...I was wondering what punk/emo/gothic/metal...etc styles in hair you could tell me would look good....i'm a lil overweight....and basically look like my avvy....so....help?

try Davey Havok's look- I do it all the time. just put ut hair in a low ponytail and leave half of one side down. Check out one of his pic's for help.
or dye some red or something

You can do faux-dreds. Use some hair glue or molding putty. Comb it through your hair, and then twist small sections into dreds. It'll come out in the shower, but you may have to use a little extra conditioner.
You can make lots of different looks this way - all down, in a ponytail, or even two pigtails of dreds.
If you're into the rockabilly look at all, you can rock some vintage hair styles, like rolls or Betty bangs. You can also do a pomp - section off the front of your hair, just a narrow bit in the front. Back-comb it a bit, and then use a bobbypin or a small barrette to hold it in place. Use a lot of hairspray to hold it in place - the taller the better. You can leave the rest of your hair down or put it in a ponytail.
